God@Work
Dear India Christian Fellowship (ICF) Friends,
Greetings in Jesus' matchless name. Well summer is here in Seattle and with kids out of school, graduations, summer trips, and lots to do with in this beautiful weather, we hope that you and your families are blessed by our Lord this season. Friends, this month at ICF we are going to be hearing on the topic God@Work. Theology of Work begins with our God who works. In the very beginning, God is seen at Work. The bible dosen't begin with God waking up from sleep, but as you "open the curtains of history" we find God@Work. God created man in His image, and since work is a part of God's DNA, man was created by God to worship Him even through His work In a work world that is increasingly competitive and challenging, we are often found asking: Why am I doing this work? Does my work matter to God? What is the purpose of work? Does God care about my career? How can I use my skills and God-given talents in a vocation that has meaning and purpose? To unpack these questions and lot more we are going to have 2 speakers this month. Mark Halstrom an expert in taking a closer look at a Biblical perspective of Theology of Work. Our second speaker, Tim Nordgren is someone who lives out these biblical principles everyday at work. Please note on June 22nd we will be gathering for our monthly meeting at 7pm. It will be a pizza night (so no potluck) but you are welcome to bring soda/salad/dessert. See you soon. Yours for our King Jedidiah Jonathan ICF Communications Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving |
